Chantal Faust (b. 1980 Australia) is a London-based photographer and academic. Faust studied photography at the Victorian College of the Arts and went on to pursue postgraduate studies, completing a PhD in 2008. Her photographic practice and her writing have focused on the mechanics of vision, which she has explored using flatbed-scanners and other low-fidelity photographic technologies. In 2010 Faust relocated to London, where she teaches at the Royal Academy of Art.
