Paul Knight (1976– ) is an Australian artist currently based in Berlin, Germany. Knight graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2001. In 2002 he was awarded a two-year studio at Melbourne's Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces and in 2007 he was awarded the Ann & Gordon Samstag Travelling Visual Arts Scholarship, which led him to complete a Master of Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art in 2009. Also in 2009, Knight won the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize. Since his first solo exhibition in 2000, Knight has established a significant profile as a contemporary photographic artist, and he continues to pursue a practice that is concerned with the exploration of relationships and intimacy.
