Lyndal Walker (1973– ) is an artist and writer who works between Melbourne and Berlin. She is an art school graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Art from VCA (1994) and a Master of Fine Art from Monash University (2007). She has been exhibiting her work since 1994 and has been actively involved in Melbourne’s artist-run scene since that time. She was a founding member of 1st Floor Artists and Writers Space and The Hotham Street Ladies. Walker’s multidisciplinary practice deals with themes of gender, identity, fashion and time. Walker often instigates performative engagements with her subjects to re-configure histories of looking and the image world.
