Cherine Fahd (b. 1974, Australia) is a Sydney-based artist who studied Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales. The products of her practice are always photographs, but these images generally document actions that could be thought of as artworks in their own right: performances, installations and readymade sculptures. In this respect, Fahd’s work is informed by the avant-garde tradition of performance art, and her practice expands on the history of photography being used to document ephemeral art actions.
