Ben Morieson

Ben Morieson was born in 1967 in Melbourne, where he continues to live and work. Morieson studied sculpture at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, gaining a Fine Arts Degree in 1988. He has undertaken studio residencies at Gertrude Contemporary Art Space in Melbourne (1999–2001) and also at the Cite International Des Artes in Paris (2001–02). More recently, in 2005 Morieson attended a residency at the Australia Council for the Arts in Barcelona. He has presented numerous solo projects around Australia and has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas.
