Gordon Undy (1940– ) is an artist and educator known for his black-andwhite landscape photography. He completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at the University of Queensland and worked as a mathematician in the computer industry until 1991. Based in Sydney, Undy captures the intimacy of the Australian landscape through traditional photographic processes, exploring the nuances of light to uncover fractal patterns within nature. His practice is influenced by the work of American landscape photographer, Paul Caponigro, as well as the printing techniques of American photographer George Tice.
