Marian Drew (b. 1960 Australia) graduated from the photomedia department at the Canberra School of Art in 1984. Her work demonstrates a sustained interest in the fundamental features of photography; its ability to capture the intangible phenomena of light and time. This is particularly evident in her still life studies (images of dead plants and animals frozen in time), and in her photographs of ephemeral light effects. She is based in Brisbane where she is actively involved in contemporary art and tertiary education.
