What is the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive?
The Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive (APPA), is a not-for-profit open-access physical archive of self-published and independent photobooks. The APPA is a response to the boom in photographic self-publishing globally and is established to provide a ‘real’ way to see photobooks that would otherwise only be viewable online. Established in 2013 by Daniel Boetker-Smith you can keep up with all things APPA on either their website or facebook page.
What is Photobook Club Melbourne?
Photobook Club Melbourne (PBC Melbourne) is a group of photobook lovers/makers/collectors who meet up roughly every two months to share their their passion for photobooks. From the professionally published to the handmade zine, we're keen on all sorts. PBC Melbourne is hosted by Monash Gallery of Art and sometimes visits other spaces in Melbourne.
