Photobook Club Melbourne

On Tuesday 21st October, from 7-8.30pm MGA is hosting our regular Photobook Club Melbourne meetup - so bring along your new or favourite photobooks to discuss. PBCMelbourne is a friendly group of photobook lovers, makers, and collectors. Want to see what it's all about? Just pop in!

World Photobook Day

This is the second year of celebration for World Photobook Day on 14 October and events are happening right around the planet - including this year a fantastic event at Strange Neighbour with the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive in Fitzroy (check it out here).

On October 14th 1843 the British Library catalogued Anna Atkins’ photographically illustrated book, ‘Photographs of British algae. Cyanotype impressions’ - the ‘first’ photobook.

You can be involved in World Photobook Day by attending an event, buying a photobook or even tagging a photograph of yourself and your favourite photobook on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #PhotoBookDaySelfie
