Monash Gallery of Art: Sunday 7 December 12–4pm

Art in the Park is the Friends of MGA’s annual community art day when visitors can learn more about the gallery and enjoy a range of free art activities for the whole family. Adults can participate in their favourite art workshops and children can explore their creative potential in supervised art classes, giant chalk & sand drawing, face painting, photography classes, Chinese brush painting, African drumming and the ever popular life drawing.

Friends of MGA need your help to create the City of Monash’s biggest chalk drawing. Budding artists are invited to get involved by responding to the theme 'a journey in colour'. Come along and draw your biggest and best, butterfly, flower, favourite pet, insect or abstract composition and add to the biggest drawing in the City of Monash. All chalk supplied.

MAPh acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong People, and recognises their continuing connection to the land and waterways.

We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
