Maria Zagala is the Associate Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photography at the Art Gallery of South Australia and has recently curated an exhibition of the work of Australian photographer, Trent Parke, titled The Black Rose.

As a primer for understanding the work of Parke, whose series The camera is god comes to MGA in December, the Friends of MGA have invited Maria to come and speak about her experience working alongside Parke and his huge archive of images featured in The Black Rose.
