Join people across the world this weekend for a 'global' photowalk
1-2.30pm at Jells Park
Meet at Madeline's (cafe) in Jells Park, Waverley Road, Wheelers Hill (Located across the road from the gallery, with plenty of parking at Jells Park itself).
The theme or focus for this photowalk is Macro, Texture and Pattern in the landscape. So bust out those macro or close-up lenses! Whether you've got a powerful zoom for your DSLR or just a dinky magnifier for your phone camera you can get up close and discover a whole new world.
This global event is organised through Flickr and MGA will be reviving our Flickr account to upload photos to the group event. Thanks to Friends of MGA member, local photographer and all around nice guy Norm Hanson for inviting MGA to be involved.

Weather: This is an all weather event - unless it is truly dreadful. So dress appropriately and bring something to protect your camera from the elements. Feel free to call the gallery after 12noon on the day 03 8544 0500 to check, if it is looking really dire.
Accessibility: The route around the lake is 2.5km. While the walk is relatively flat, close up photography demands a lot of time so we're allowing 1.5hours for the circuit. Not all the track is wheelchair friendly (can be muddy and uneven in places), however there is an alternative route we can take to keep everyone together, so just let us know if you have any accessibility requests. Also note close up photography might mean getting 'up close' to the ground or other low surface, but it's totally up to you!
