Under the sun: Reimagining Max Dupain's Sunbaker
Please join Claire Monneraye, Curator, Australian Centre for Photography, and Peta Clancy, Under the sun exhibiting artist, for a behind the scenes discussion and walkthrough of Under the sun: Reimagining Max Dupain's Sunbaker. You'll gain an insight into the curatorial rationale of the exhibition and what is involved when you commission 15 contemporary artists to respond to Max Dupain's 'Sunbaker' from both the Curator's and the Artist's perspective.
This event is primarily for teachers of VCE Studio Arts, Art, Media, and Visual Communication, IB Visual Arts, tertiary Museum / Curatorial Studies, Museum Educators, and tertiary students of these professions (pre-service teachers, curatorial students, photography/art students).
Participants will receive a hard copy of the Australian Centre for Photography's excellent Education Kit for Under the sun: Reimagining Max Dupain's 'Sunbaker'.
Teachers wishing to have a certificate for VIT professional development please indicate this when registering.
Refreshments will be provided.
