About our speaker:
David Williams is a local watercolour artist and member of the Watercolour Society of Victoria.
David Williams through his paintings will illustrate some of the fine architecture in the buildings and structures of Bendigo and Melbourne created during the gold rush of the1800's.
David Williams, betweeen 1990 and 2004 self-published 18 historical sketchbooks around Victoria.
These and other projects involved the creation of over 5000 paintings.
The book for South-eastern Victoria around the Portland area was awarded the Victorian Government History Award in 2005.
Special exhibitions of David William's paintings have been held in Eaglehawk, Echuca, Bright, Glen Waverley, Myrtleford, Wandiligong, Olinda and Point Lonsdale to assist community projects.
