The Waverley Historical Society was established in 1970 by a group of local residents concerned with recording and preserving the history of the fast growing Waverley district. Many of these members were descendants of the pioneer settlers and were able to use the knowledge of their local family histories to contribute to the recording of the rich fabric of the district development.
MarJo Angelico is the President of the Waverley Historical Society Vic. Inc. MarJo will talk about a range of local icons as well as lesser-known spots and discuss where names come from, how things have changed, what makes some things last a long time and others disappear quickly. Please bring your questions about any aspect of Waverley's history.
