Join us at MGA in our Atrium Gallery for an evening of talks with a selection of exhibiting artists from Being a voice. The talks will be in conversation with MGA Director, Anouska Phizacklea and will delve into the artists practices, concepts and what it means to be a voice in our City of Monash LGBTQIA+ community.

Being a voice is an exhibition celebrating LGBTQIA+ young people aged between 15 and 25 who live, study, play or work in the City of Monash. The exhibition showcases nine artists who share their experiences of being part of the rainbow community. Displayed across MGA’s Atrium Gallery with an extended showing in the Wheelers Hill Library meeting room, this exhibition will be accompanied by audio recordings that explore the lived experiences of people in the City of Monash, providing a cultural record of being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
