MAPh - Wheelers Hill Library Meeting Room
Join Petrina Hicks for an artist talk about her work, her career and her exhibition Snakes and Mirrors, followed by a masterclass in portrait lighting.
This masterclass will explore the use of studio lighting for portraiture, with each participant setting up studio lighting and taking portraits of a subject against a neutral backdrop.
Petrina will share her knowledge and experience with portrait photography, concept creation and articulation, and working with human and non-human models.
Aimed at emerging through to established photographers, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn alongside others in a practical setting, guided by an expert.
Learn how to:
- set up studio lighting and backdrops for portraiture
- use composition for effective storytelling
- work with models – both human and non-human
Participants must bring their own camera (that can be synced to studio flash), laptop with Adobe Lightroom and tether cable.
