The Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) is Monash City Council’s premier cultural facility. MAPh is the Australian home of photography, championing Australian photography, and inspiring audiences to embrace, explore and value photography. As Australia’s leading public art gallery devoted to the collection and exhibition of photography, we engage local, national and international audiences in arts and cultural experiences. MAPh is the custodian of one of the municipality's most important assets: the nationally significant City of Monash Collection of over 3,400 photographs.

The Glen Shopping Centre joined MAPh as a Major Partner, gifting MAPh a unique, permanent exhibition space within The Glen’s new Fashion and Lifestyle precinct. The Gordon Darling Foundation was established in 1991 by Gordon Darling, who passed away in 2015, aged 94. Its purpose was and is to fund Visual Arts activities Australia-wide. The Foundation's charter is to support the visual arts and to promote, through Public Institutions, access to and enjoyment of all areas of the visual arts, to the broadest possible audience. They have generously supported MAPh with several key projects including a publication in support of John Gollings: the history of the built world, a MAPh Australian and international traveling exhibition, a travel grant to support MAPh's Director to travel to China and most recently a grant to support MAPh's 30th anniversary celebration publication which will be released in 2020.
