Artist statement:
My folio focuses on an exploration of the internal and external structures of trees and other natural objects. My concept was originally inspired by cross sectional prints of tree trunks by the artist, Bryan Nash Gill who was a printmaker with a passion for nature and trees. This inspirational source eventuated to an exploration and discovery of shapes, lines and patterns found within organic structures. Within my investigation, I aim to illustrate a fragility within the body of works, whilst maintaining a sense of order and beauty.
