Artist statement:

I chose to explore the importance placed on exteriors in society, and idea of allowing viewers to see something relatable but in a different way. I wanted to take something that usually depicts what the ‘perfect’ exterior beauty should be seen as, and instead distorting them to challenge superficial expectations.
