‘Energy maximum 325 sec’ is a light drawing made with an anemograph, a sculptural instrument of my innovation which records the speed, duration, direction and movement of the wind.

This image, and corresponding images from the Anemograph de l'Ortenbourg series, was recorded on Friday 2 June 2023 at Chateau de l’Ortenbourg – a ruined castle situated in the hills of the commune of Scherwiller in the département of Bas-Rhin, France, at an altitude of 443 metres. Affixed to an oscillating flexible wire, my anemograph’s single orbiting light source illuminated the chaos and order of the wind as well as the site’s dynamics. I made this series between sunset and midnight, on the evening of a full moon.
