Peter Milne was born in Melbourne in 1960 and presently lives and works in Brisbane, Qld. While Milne has a background in documentary practice, his work now tends to engage montage and collage to produce often elaborate historical allegories and political satires, which often circulate as sequences and photo-narratives. Major recent projects include Beautiful lies: notes towards a history of Australia (2011). Milne teaches at Queensland College of the Arts, Griffith University.
